Kristie L. Kenney

Kristie L. Kenney, is director of development at Fort Valley State University. She is the former director of the FVSU Foundation, Inc., a role in which she served for three years, including her work as interim executive director for the past year. In this position, Kenney managed the daily operations, donor relations, stewardship, volunteer services, event planning, endowment, and board relations for the foundation and the foundation’s LLC. In addition, Ms. Kenney served as interim director of the FVSU Public Service Center from 2015 to 2017.

Ms. Kenney has over 10 years’ experience in the nonprofit and entrepreneurial industry, having founded the Peach Academy Kids, Inc. nonprofit organization, a Monday school which provided supplemental educational enrichment activities for Peach County elementary students. As the former Rural Business Outreach Manager at Fort Valley State University, it was her responsibility to teach business and marketing plan development skills, market research, and financial principles to budding entrepreneurs.

Ms. Kenney is an active leader on campus and in the Middle Georgia community. She is a graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business. She also holds a Master of Science in Higher-Education– College Administration and Leadership from Kaplan University.
